Las Vegas – The Boston Celtics put on a three-point clinic tonight. They made thirteen 3s in their 103-92 victory over the Warriors. Four players scores in double digits while Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody did their best to chip away at the lead in the end.
Kuminga continues to show improvement in all areas, he finished with 29 points. Moody had 21 points and four assists. Wiseman who played his second game is still on restricted minutes going 4 minutes per quarter.
He finished with 6 points and 7 rebounds. Wiseman is searching for his game, strength and athleticism. While this will take time, the summer league is the best place to get better. Golden State has a young team that eager to learn more from the champions.
Boston got off to a great start and never looked back. They shot nothing but 3s, Juhann Bergarin finished with 21 points and Justin Jason had 24 points. The Celtics shot 13-for-30 from the arc and went 16-for-18 from the line.
The Warriors had a terrible start, the combination Wiseman, Kuminga and Moody totaled 10 points. Boston went 7-for-13 from the arc and shot 58.3% in one quarter. The Celtics ended the quarter 38-18. They led by 20 points majority of the game until the fourth when the Warriors rallied a comeback but there wasn’t enough time on the clock.
The Golden State Warriors Assistant head coach, Ron Adams received the 2022 Tex Winter Lifetime Achievement Award at halftime. Adams is considered one of the best defensive coaches in the league. Adams won his fourth championship during his eight year career with the Warriors.
