Warriors Extend Win Streak with Victory Over Knicks

San Francisco – The Warriors’ winning streak continues as they edge past the New York Knicks 97-94, securing their seventh consecutive victory and extending their longest streak of the season.

Head coach Steve Kerr reached a historic milestone, earning his 558th career regular-season win, surpassing Alvin Attles (557) as the winningest head coach in franchise history. With this victory, Kerr’s career record stands at 558-302 (.649), ranking him fifth in NBA history for win percentage among coaches with at least 300 regular-season wins.

“It was a great moment, being awarded the game ball by the Attles family was really beautiful, to sort of be honored by their presence,” Kerr said. “Obviously, Al Attles is Mr. Warrior forever. The record, it’s kind of surreal to even think that this could happen. But as I said earlier, it’s a reflection of our organizational strength, stability, and talent level over the last 11 years since I’ve been here. So I’m incredibly lucky to be part of this organization and part of this city. Very humbled by the honor because of Al’s greatness and what he means to the franchise. But yeah, I will definitely enjoy the evening, and the memory, and being with his family especially.”

Golden State has won 14 of its last 16 games and swept the season series against the Knicks 2-0, marking its first sweep over New York since the 2018-19 season.

Stephen Curry recorded his 41st game of 20 or more points this season and has reached that mark in 16 of his last 19 games. Meanwhile, Moses Moody has scored in double figures in 23 of the last 27 games.

“Pressure. We had a good game plan going in,” said Moody. “Shout out to my man Everett (Dayton – Video Coordinator, Player Development), who had the scout tonight. So, we had a good game plan going into the game, and we executed it. Ball pressure, picking up, as well as the help behind the ball. Especially Draymond (Green) guarded KAT (Karl-Anthony Towns) really well, as well as helping everybody else on defense. It was a team effort, and it was a good one.”
