San Francisco – The Warriors overcame a scorching performance from former Golden State player Jordan Poole, who put up an impressive 38 points. Despite losing Draymond Green to injury, the Warriors dominated in the fourth quarter to secure a 122-114 victory over the Washington Wizards.
Green exited the game around the three-minute mark, limping off the court and heading to the locker room. He was later ruled out for the remainder of the game due to left calf tightness, an issue he has been battling. Green returned to the bench in street clothes, visibly limping.
Stephen Curry scored 26 points but exited late in the game with an apparent ankle injury, noticeably limping as he headed to the locker room. Before his departure, Curry scored 9 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Warriors reclaim the lead after trailing for most of the game. Andrew Wiggins delivered a stellar performance, finishing with 31 points and 11 rebounds to cap off the victory.
Wiggins scored a season-high 31 points (previously 30 on 11/22 vs. NOP) and added 11 rebounds, marking his third double-double of the season and second game with 30 or more points. Tonight also marked his fourth career 30/10 game and his first as a Warrior. Wiggins has now scored 20-plus points in three consecutive games, averaging 25.0 points over that span.
Dennis Schröder scored 20 points, his highest-scoring performance as a Warrior. He has now tallied 10 or more points in four consecutive games.
Kevon Looney recorded his eighth game with 10 or more points this season and pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds (previous high: 11, multiple occasions), earning his second double-double of the season. He also logged a season-high 24 minutes on the court.
Trayce Jackson-Davis grabbed 15 rebounds, marking the fourth time in the last five games he has recorded 10 or more rebounds.
Gary Payton II scored 10 points in his first outing at Chase Center since 12/25 vs. LAL.
Tonight marked Golden State’s third consecutive clutch game—defined as a game with the score within five points in the final five minutes—and their 26th clutch game of the season, tying Minnesota for the league’s most. The Warriors improved their record in clutch games to 13-13.
