Stephen Curry: A Late Scratch For Jazz vs. Warriors Game

San Francisco – Stephen Curry was a late scratch tonight for the Warriors vs. Jazz game. Golden State head coach Steve Kerr provided an update on his star player. With the team facing back-to-back games, Curry was initially hopeful he’d be able to play, but that changed today.

“Steph’s not going to play,” Kerr said. “Knees are bothering him, and with the back-to-back, we’re hopeful that he’ll play tomorrow. But it felt like, you know, with three games in the next four nights, his knees where they are, let’s be smart about it and go from there.

During his warmup. He came in early today and got on the table with Rick (Celebrini). Again, this is all part of just being proactive. We take it kind of day to day, week to week. It made sense to give him the night off and get him right for the rest of the week.”
