San Francisco – The Bay Area Hosting Committee held its event at Chase Center to kick off NBA All-Star Weekend. The committee’s primary focus is to facilitate economic and societal impact in the region. As a nonprofit organization, it is dedicated to bringing world-class events to the Bay Area to drive economic vitality, foster community engagement, instill civic pride, and elevate global recognition.

Zaileen Janmohamed is the President and CEO of the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC). She leads the first-ever coalition of professional sports team executives and industry experts from across the Bay Area. Under her leadership, BAHC will oversee a stellar lineup of events, including NBA All-Star 2025, Super Bowl LX, and FIFA World Cup 2026. Notably, 2026 will mark a historic milestone, as the Bay Area becomes the first region ever to host both the Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup in the same year.
A firm believer in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion as catalysts for cultural and business growth, Janmohamed integrates advocacy as a core pillar of her role at BAHC.

San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie is the 46th Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco. He is the first mayor since 1911 to be elected without prior government experience. Known for his innovative approach to tackling complex challenges, Mayor Lurie has built his career on delivering results in areas that require bold action.
Lurie spoke with enthusiasm about the opportunity for tourists to return to the city without fear, despite the challenges the Bay Area has faced since COVID-19.
“People should feel excited about our city, which offers countless opportunities for fun and entertainment,” said Lurie.
